Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills The Bar with a View
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills has a rooftop bar. It is fifty-two floors above the ground. The view from it is fantastic. You would be forgiven for thinking it looks like something out of Blade Runner. It is a great place to enjoy a drink.
A few spinners from the movie would complete the scene. Maybe I could add them using Photoshop. Then it would look exactly like a scene from the film. But would we need to make it look a little dirtier too? It was a pretty gritty film.
Seriously though, I wonder what it’ll look like in the future. What changes will occur? Actually, it wasn’t so long ago that some buildings in this picture weren’t there. Nittele Tower, which houses Nippon Television, was only finished in 2003. As things change in Tokyo, the skyline will too.
The bar is in Toranomon, the heart of Tokyo’s business areas. Nagatacho, where the government lies, isn’t far away. That makes this bar the best place to keep an eye on things. You can do it in complete comfort at Andaz.
How is the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills view?
The photos tell it all. Well, they tell most of the story. You can see Shinbashi and some of Tokyo Bay. At night, they look spectacular. It looks like a scene from Blade Runner.
There is one problem. You need to move around the floor to get the 360° view. That wasn’t possible when I went. On that night, there was an event. I didn’t have an invite to it. That meant I couldn’t see Tokyo Tower.
Conclusion
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hill is a great Tokyo photo spot. I’ll let you in on my little secret about it. I’ve never had a drink there only taken photographs! It’s true. So let me know what the drinks and food are like if you have been! You can see the bar’s website here. One day I will go back to enjoy its hospitality. Leave your questions and comments below.
