Hamarikyu Gardens plum blossoms in 2023
Hamarikyu Gardens plum blossoms in 2023 were awesome. I’ve been to the park so many times, but this was my first time seeing these flowers there. It was long overdue. I wish I had seen them years ago. They were that good!
By the way, I hope you’re not sick of plum blossoms articles, are you? Well, I’m sorry if you but this is the last one for 2023. Actually, I didn’t get to photograph them enough! I wanted to do more, but things got in the way.
What can I say Hamarikyu Gardens? As a park in general, it has everything. Every season is great, especially spring. Even winter is good, especially if you consider the falcon display in January.
You might already have noticed I got doubly lucky this time. We had rapeseed too. The yellow background for the plum blossoms was amazing. I don’t think anywhere else in Tokyo has anything similar.
It was quite a busy day there. Hamarikyu always pulls many people. Tokyo’s photographers turned out in droves to capture the flowers. They weren’t disappointed.
One thing about these plum blossoms. There aren’t that many. Hanegi has more. But that isn’t a problem. Hamarikyu’s are great, especially as the surroundings are good. Nearby are the skyscrapers of Shiodome. They make for an incredible backdrop. With so much there, you get the best of everything.
Did you know there is even a shrine with a torii gate on the ground? There is, and it is near the plum blossom grove. You can easily put it in your photos.
Hamarikyu Gardens plum blossoms photos camera gear:
For these photos, I used my Fujifilm X-T3 and the 16-55 mm lens. For some shots, I added a Godox flash. It wasn’t too much gear to carry. Everything fit compactly into a little shoulder bag. I know I’ve said it many times, but a macro lens would be great to add to my kit.
