Shadows in Shinjuku

Shadows in Shinjuku are everywhere. Once I said that I’d photograph them often because they are beautiful. But those words came to nothing. I’ve hardly made an effort, much to my regret. Something always gets in the way. Well, over two days in January 2025, I got out my camera and got to work. I went to the Nishi-Shinjuku skyscrapers to make some photos.

Nishi-Shinjuku is on the west side of JR Shinjuku Station. Some of its buildings are famous. Many people know the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building with its two fantastic observation decks. Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower and the Keio Plaza Hotel are also on that list.

I had two good days with the shadows in Shinjuku. By the way, they weren’t consecutive. A week separated them. That might explain the difference if the skies aren’t the same in some photos. Questions and comments can be left below.
