In March 2025, the air at Tokyo Big Sight was electric with the buzz of thousands of motorcycle lovers, and I was right there in the thick of it. The Tokyo Motorcycle Show is always a highlight of the year, and the show did not disappoint. It’s one thing to see bikes online, but it’s another to feel the rumble of the crowd and see the incredible detail on these machines up close.
My mission was simple: hunt down the most impressive, innovative, and just plain cool bikes on the floor. I wove through the crowds, camera in hand, capturing everything from the big-name reveals to the mind-bending custom work tucked away in the smaller booths.
Here are my favorites from the day. Make sure you look for the aggressive Streetfighter from Honda, a gorgeous Ninja from Kawasaki that everyone was talking about, and a geisha on wheels that looked like she rode straight out of an action movie.
Rohan has photographed Tokyo since 2011. He shoots it with his Canon EOS R5. The project will take more than one lifetime to complete.
